Information for Students: College BASE outside of Missouri
Test Requirements
Colleges and universities outside of Missouri may establish criteria and measure
a student's success in completion of the general education curriculum by using
the College BASE examination. Summary scores from students may inform
institutional administrators of trends in student achievement or to evaluate
curriculum changes.
Additionally, the College BASE is used by some institutions in Kansas and Iowa to
admit students to teacher education programs. The Assessment Resource Center
(ARC) does not establish passing scores or other requirements for taking College
BASE outside of Missouri. Please contact your academic advisor or testing
coordinator for information on your institution's requirements for College BASE.
Registration
At some institutions students will be notified of the time, date, and location
for testing. In Kansas or Iowa, please contact the campus testing services or
your academic advisor for information about registering to take College BASE.
ARC develops and scores College BASE but does not administer the test or
register students for test dates.
Test Preparation Resources for Students
If you are a student preparing to take the College BASE exam, we offer a number of resources.
Score Reports
Approximately four weeks after test administration, each examinee and the
examinee's institution of enrollment receive score reports containing a summary
of scores and a guide to score interpretation. Score reports and passing status
are not released over the phone, by email, or FAX. Scores reflect the degree to
which the examinee has mastered the specific skills addressed by College BASE.
Additional Score Reports
To request an additional score report to be sent to either another institution or to you, complete the Score Release Consent Form and send it with your $10.00 check or money order to the Assessment Resource Center (ARC), 2800 Maguire Blvd., Columbia, Missouri 65201. Credit cards are not accepted.
In order to protect the confidentiality of student records, ARC does not accept telephone requests for additional score reports.
